Chabahar has good opportunities for investment in different economic and trade fields, said the deputy head of economic and investment of Chabahar Free Zone.
Saeed Isazadeh also touched upon the latest measures taken by the zone.
He said building a greenhouse through cooperation of the Netherlands, establishing a food town in an area of 100 hectares, breeding ostriches in an area of 12 hectares, setting up a date town, producing and packaging rice, fruits, tea and dates, manufacturing wide pipes as well as negotiating with investors and investment companies which produce building stones through cooperation of Chinese investors, are among these measures.
Cooperation between Chabahar and Gwadar ports in petrochemical fields
The deputy head of economic and investment of Chabahar Free Zone said Chinese developers of Gwadar port are willing to cooperate in the production of petrochemicals in Chabahar. He said the Chinese have suggested that the two ports cooperate in the field of petrochemicals.
“Plans have been drawn up to develop food towns through cooperation of the private sector to expand activities in producing and packaging rice, tea, dates and tropical fruits. Dutch investors have also voiced readiness to help establish a modern greenhouse,” he said.
